Just want to renew my insurance on my spare car and I’ve just put a cherished reg on it but it’s now gone up at the least £100 on sites. I got the best price quoted for £160 Hastings direct on comparison sites on the old number but when I took the offer up and explained I’ve just done a plate transfer Hastings direct bumped it up to £512!! Who’s in charge of all these dick heads??
I wonder if you had renewed under the old plate then changed plates mid term what would they charge? Thats madness!
The thing is as they have such a bad reputation I thought I’ll do it first so I don’t get stung through admin. If I renew it now on the old number then the slippery fuckers can just scream ‘fraud’. Would the insurance ombudsman be interested I wonder?
Er NO, i asked to make a formal complaint but they just fobbed me off. Just shows how rip-off Britain gets away with it
Shareholders. Insurance is big business. They like to take your money, but don't like to pay out. And then there's fraud..............................whole other cup 'o tea.
They probably thought because you have a cherished plate you've got more momey than sense Eric so decided to load the policy. They were half right.........
