We are 1 1/2 hours from Caen port and the Normandy Beaches,40 mins from Mont Saint Michel, 1 1/2 hours to Le Mans and ideally placed for an overnight stay on your journey to South west Europe. We stayed in Mayenne for a night many years ago. Lovely little town on a river I seem to remember. Some lovely walking around there. Good luck with the business. If we head that way late summer will look you up. Thanks.
