At the risk of tempting fate, here we are, 2+ years into the pandemic and I've either not had it or had it and been asymptomatic. Everyone else in the family, both close and extended has had it, bar my 88 year old Mum and 24 year old nephew. My brother had it twice, the first time, 2 months into the pandemic and was coughing for England. I've never been pinged either but my phone isn't compatible with the APP which might explain that!:joy:

Maybe you're too "thick skinned," unlike some others around here. ;)

That might have a bearing on it :joy:
It seems this latest variant is significantly more contagious but thankfully the symptoms less severe, but not for everyone so no room for complacency.

The virus seems to have weakened after each mutation so may now be no more of a threat than the "Flu" to most people but that also claims lives every year. I assume the "Flu" is continually mutating, hence the annual Winter Flu jabs for the elderly and vulnerable. It seems Covid cases are on the rise again with a further variant of the Omnicron strain so we keep hearing that the pandemic isn't over but it will never be over, the bug is here to stay, just as the Flu will never be over.

I remember when it was first discoved some top wobble head saying it would most likely mutate to a less deadly strain as once it killed it's host it was killing itself so so far looks like he was on the money. Anyhoooo.....1st test is negative so if tomorrow's is negative too I can get out of Dodge

I don't need to re-read anything. Your whole attitude is confrontatinal as is demonstrated by your response. As I said just calm down and stop winding everybody up and you will enjoy the banter and fun much more.

Good news mate. Pity about the upset to your cruise though. I hope all works out when you get to the hotel and subsequently get home.

I disagree, I think you do, and while you're at it look up the word "banter" in the dictionary. If you're taking it upon yourself to demonstrate to me that I'm excluded from that regardless of your feigned "calm down" advice you're wasting your time.

But this is more another case of hypocrisy, and your constant use of the word "banter" proves that. This is also largely just another case of covid herd-mentality projection, esp. in your case.

I'm not looking to exclude you from anything, just to point out that you are winding folk up. Yet again you have gone on the offensive with your response, which just re-enforces my point. I don't intend to make any other comment on the subject, but I'm sure you will want to have the last word.

I'm just responding to your accusations. That pretty much makes you the offensive and confrontational one.

Yeah I figured you'd resort to that chickenshit "disagree" function, but according to you I'm the one "wanting to get the last word."

The hypocrisy in this thread is so thick you can walk on it.

    Erm ……..In this situation YES..!
Good question though and I had to consider my answer carefully..!
She is currently lolling about on the balcony and seems to be recovering well.
I am about 80% healthwise and up to 100% on the frustration scale…
Off the boat tomorrow morning and off to an isolation hotel for two further days . Usually we would be pleased to extend our holiday but this time around… Nope. Just wanna be home now.

    Thanks Joe.
That’s travel for you in the current climate. Self isolation on a bike is the way forward..!
