The bike was booked in yesterday for the bars to be fitted. I have posted a picture of the bike with the clip-ons and then a couple of shots with the new flat bars on.

So this is what it looks like now.

And here it is front of the Magnolia tree in full bloom. IMO two wonderful things to admire.

So what about the difference on the bike; in my mind it looks fantastic.
I was blown away when I rode away from the dealers. In many ways it reminded me of the riding position on my speed twin. However the bars are a little wider and obviously much higher that than the originals. This had two significant imapacts of note. The first is that the steering is much lighter and seems to steers into the corners much quicker. And the second it feels a much smoother ride, I'm guessing this is because the weight is off my wrists.
Overall I love the look and feel of the bars and I'm looking forward to a long ride over the next few days.

Looks great and seems like an excellent choice and change for you, @Wessa. I’m glad to see you’ve decided to keep your handsome Thruxton. :) I often wish I still had my Thruxton back in the garage. Love that photo of your bike with the magnolia tree! I was late to the party but it was also fun to see another guessing game thread like dilligaf used to post. Thanks for bringing a smile to our faces and a puzzle to our brains. :kissing_heart: I was actually going to guess a bicycle. :joy::joy:

Thanks @Sandi T , glad you enjoyed the puzzle. Yes I really pondered over selling it or keeping it. It is such a great bike I decided to look around for solutions. Found a German company that made a complete conversation kit. The rest was a no brainier.

Those look great. I'm interested in doing this to my Thruxton R. I was looking into getting a T120 for the more comfortable riding position, but prefer the overall look and rearset position of the Thruxton. Do you know if the position of the bars post conversion are as upright as a T120?
