    Sunday ride, first time exploring this area t towards the north part of the state of Jalisco Mexico.
    Bolaños is a small town right on a river of the same name, in the middle of impressive mountains, there is an active mine that produces silver, zinc, and lead.
    I knew about the region but more in the context of the indigenous groups known as the Huicholes, famous for their crafts, and their mythology where deers, corn, and peyote are perhaps the main subjects.
    The road is in near perfect condition, quite surprising as this is usually not the case.
    the day became quite windy, with strong random blasts that made it difficult to ride, it was only two bikes, me on the Tiger 900 and a vstrom 650, while I did feel my head being pushed by the strong winds my bike did not feel affected, this was not the case with the vstrom, and he had to slow down significantly.

    The route:

    stopped a few times to take pictures of the landscape, both going in and also on the way back

    The route has a minimum altitude of about 500m and a maximum of about 2000m, temperature also changed wildly with the day starting at about 12°C, and at the lowest altitude the temp was at 37°C but it is quite short, the average is usually on the high 20s.

    The ride back was with constant strong winds, forcing us to slow down, at the end of the day I was exhausted but happy from exploring a new area with beautiful views and awesome twisty roads, I'm sure we'll go back perhaps in September or October when everything will be green.

    Thanks for all the comments
    It is different and that is probably why I'm attracted to that region, I'm quite glad I finally visited

    @Armando Morales
    Brilliant ride report and photos, Armando! What spectacular scenery and countryside. :heart_eyes: Thank you for including a map, also. I've enjoyed looking at larger maps of Mexico and getting a sense of just where you are in Mexico. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! :):heart:
