A big riding weakness of mine is I regularly forget to cancel the indicators which annoys me intensely, a problem which isn't helped by the dash warning lights not being very bright, especially in bright sun light and also well below the line of sight and that's not a criticism of Triumph, just me. I had the same issue with the Z. I use hand signals a lot these days but there are times when they are either awkward or virtually impossible so I wired in an extra bright warning light as a sort of electrical aide memoir. It's not quite as dazzling as the camera suggests but certainly more noticeable. I did this on the Z years ago and it does work for me. Does anyone else have this "problem"?

 

I was ok at remembering to cancel my indicators until I had a bike for a while that auto cancelled. It doesn’t help that the fairing in my MV blocks the warning light.

Yep, I often forget to cancel the indicators. Seems like a good, helpful solution!

 

Some people wire in a buzzer. I suppose you could wire in your testicles.

 

Don't often forget but SWMBO following on her Street3 loves to let me know when I have. (so that works for me )

@Helmut Visor and I rode to see a friend and his KTM 1290 Superadventure S today, had a coffee and a chat and rode back home again - about a 95 mile round trip. He liked my trousers, asked what they were and had spent about £800 on kit by the time we made it home . Third ride for me on my Striple since passing my test as obviously the last two stormy weekends scuppered any biking adventures. No pictures I am afraid (which I know means it never happened ).

 

The trouble is, in cold weather they shrink and retreat into my abdomen.

 

Self cancelling for me

 

From memory, the only bike I've ever owned with SC indicators was a Z1300 back in '82. Can't see why all bikes don't have them with perhaps a disable option if you don't want or like them. Not exactly cutting edge tech is it.

Hmmm, wouldn't work for me, Andy. Guess I'll have to go with another method.

 

Well, Harleys all have them. At least every Harley I've had since 2010 has had them. That's actually what makes it so hard for me to remember to cancel the turn signals when I ride my Speed Triple.
