Following in the recent footsteps of International Man of Mystery, @Iron and and less recently, Dillligaf (gone but never forgotten), here's what showed up on my doorstep yesterday. Any guesses??
It's a .......play the Captain Scarlet in betweenie bit....... seat (No, not one of those Spanish cars)
IKEA flat pack something or other , for the man/woman cave ! Do you sit on it in the Cave and Admire your Bikes from it !?
Nope, DCS, but that's a terrific idea! Even better now that I have a Fat Boy. Maybe when you buy a Fat Boy, a Terminator should come with it.
Those do look good on the Fat Boy, Helmut! I've got Vance & Hines pipes on order but chose the more traditional Fat Boy look with the Eliminator 300's.
Yes! For Ellie, the Boxer, Erling. Well, no, actually. Not a sidecar. But Mr. Sandi does talk about getting a Ural so the dog can go on rides with us.
Not a bad idea, capt. But if there was enough room in the man/woman cave for a piece of furniture on which to sit and admire the bikes, I'd be likely to fill the space with another bike instead. Another bike for Mr. Sandi of course.
Well, @Dartplayer, you were on the right track but veered off course because you were looking for a particular brand of seat, Corbin. Understandable. The gigantic "mystery box" did indeed hold a new custom seat but it was from C & C Motorcycle Seats. In addition to seats for Harleys, C & C makes seats for Yamaha, Honda, and--yes!--Triumph motorcycles, too. Amazingly, I ordered it only last Thursday morning and it showed up on my doorstep at 3pm yesterday--Monday--afternoon. I'm SOOOO happy with it! https://ccseats.com I spent a lot of time up front deciding what materials and thread color and stitch pattern I wanted to use. C & C was happy to send lots of material and thread samples and to answer questions by phone. In the end I went fairly conservative (if ya wanna see WILD, check out some of the photos on the web site!) The rider and pillion areas are made of what they call Mercedes vinyl and the band is called H-D Distressed #1. The double diamond stitch thread is charcoal gray. I opted for vinyl over leather this time around. The Le Pera seat on my Street Glide is leather and I like it but there are some downsides. I knew I'd like the feel of this seat, which they call the Fastback, because it's basically the same Whiplash Speed Co. seat I had on my Low Rider S. While researching seat companies to find a seat this time around, I learned C & C actually makes Whiplash Speed's seats for them and just rebrands them! And tacks on $100. So not only am I pleased with the aesthetics and the feel of the seat, I'm happy with the price. I took it for a ride today and now I'm even happier with my new seat.
Yay! So, do I sent you the postage now or after you've sent it? I've never won anything before I'm so excited
