    i would have loved to have seen him in his hayday, i saw him in Glasgow it must have been about 12 years ago and he was well past his best unfortunately

    True but he had collapsed on stage a good number of times in the last two decades and had a rare heart condition. Then he didn't get vaccinated so he was an excellent candidate to get a bad case of covid.

    A very sad loss. [​IMG]

    The Bat out of Hell album is one of the few LPs that i can remember where i was when i first heard it.
    It was 1978 on the Lizard in Cornwall at a bike rally, camping. They had a big marque there and played the whole album, never heard anything like it before. When i got back to Bristol a few days later the first thing i did was to go to Virgin records and buy it. Still got it and it has been played a couple of times in the last few days. Epic. [​IMG]
