Vinyl wrap it first off, so if you don't like it you can remove it. If you are good with photoshop, you can take a picture and edit it to suit.

Have you thought about having it vinyl wrapped? It would probably be cheaper, is reversible if you don't like it and, if done professionally, will be indistinguishable from dip or paint.

Converted my 2015 from Dame Edna's to round led's a while ago (see my avatar). Triumph don't sell black shells anymore so had to get chrome, I used smooth black gloss Hammerite on mine. More recently done the same for wife's Street Triple, used an etch prime then satin black on hers. All done with rattle cans, degreased before was the only prep, no sign of any problems so far.

I think it REALLY works on my gloss black 94R. The white halo DRL's complement the white graphics and wheel pinstripes
Still looks good on the wife's white Street, but not quite the same impact. I haven't got photos of hers to hand.

Just nipped down to the garage for a quick snap of SWMBO's new headlights (Crimbo present just gone). So how they look on a white Street Triple....

Unfortunately neither of the suppliers I used for mine (nearly 4yrs ago) or SWMBO's (2 or 3 months ago) are still trading, both were on eBay. The halo's on mine are white only and are really bright, I ride most of the time with DRL's only. SWMBO's more recent ones also incorporate amber which I've linked up to the regular indicators, however they achieve this with alternate white/amber led's in the ring so in drl mode the halo is quite a bit less bright, so SWMBO's is set to always run headlights on.
You need to search for * 5.75" Inch Halo LED Projection Headlight * they're often referred to as for Harleys or Jeeps. If you manage to get a descent set the main and dip beams are good too, however I have returned a set for refund as they were rubbish. There are some that seem to have a shallower rear, best avoided, they're the ones I returned as they weren't very bright..

These look to be the same as mine (but I got mine a bit cheaper than that)

This site shows the sort with white+ambre leds

Re thanks for the info on this thread, those lamps you have on both black and white bike look great.
Mine is an SE in red/white so has black forks, just think black shells may “lose” them quite nicely

Hi Alan, I had the 2010 SE too, but got knocked off at low speed and was an insurance write off

Wish I had paid the write off vale to keep it and put it back on the to road

Black light lamps do look good
