If you took a university exam and failed because you only got 80% of the answers correct you'd feel rightly aggrieved. That's a high percentage!
If a vaccine protects 9 out of 10, or even 8 out of 10 people, those seem like good odds and a viable way to reduce the virus in the population, as has been done before with other diseases. As you rightly say, no vaccine is 100% effective across the population. It doesn't have to be.

There's plenty of clinical evidence showing the efficacy of the available vaccines, including multiple doses, varying the types, and how successful they are with different variants of the virus. It doesn't work the same for everyone but that's why studies are done across thousands of people, to give a statistical view across the population. We all know that it's about reducing the risk, not eliminating it, and also reducing the extent of the illness if it's contracted to keep the number hospitalisations and deaths down.

Because this is a polarising subject I want to make it clear that I respect your right to choose, but I don't think it's a good idea for our society not to be vaccinated. Here I'm just laying out some of my own reasoning for having it.

I already did, dude, in my OP on the subject. You, like I said, seem to be the one… as usual, who strives to pick shit apart for the sake of picking shit apart.

Again- Google it yourself. I already have.

13% of unvaccined are +80% of hospitalized, and covid death. Why are people still cutting corners and discussing about vaccine?
Had my 3rd jab on 31st of December, no symptom at all even mixed with more alcool than usual. :)

I think it's been made pretty clear that those of us who opt not to get it are not going to be convinced otherwise, and we have our legitimate reasons.

Perhaps we should just leave it at that.

OK, so we can't just leave it at that then. Got it. Still doesn't change anything.

    2021 COVID-19 Recap: 200 Million Vaccinated, 450,000 Dead
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/2021-...html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=imctgm01

With the New Year’s Eve passing, 2021 is now the second year defined by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic and the global response to it. Compared to 2020, last year was not only deadlier, but also more complicated. Issues such as virus variants, vaccine resistance, and vaccine efficacy have come to the forefront. Mandatory vaccination went from a “conspiracy theory” to official policy in a matter of months. Increasingly prominent were also legal battles over government restrictions on the population, with approaches taken by different states further diverging.

In the beginning it was touted as stopping the virus, then it got downgraded. I have something that will save me if I get the CCP Virus, its called an immune system.

Both sides are seriously beating a dead horse at this point.

Everyone just needs to let this go.

His first mistake was going to the hospital much less to intensive care. Everyone knows that a ventilator is pretty much a death sentence. All they do is push the virus back into your lungs instead of letting you expel it.

It's an even better time for everyone to realize this thread's out of gas.

But I'm sure ol' "nuclear option" will just keep going for the sake of getting the last word.

Doctor Mercola, to name one. I understand that is some cases, if breathing is to far gone, there is no other choice but ventilators should be a last resort. Common sense alone should tell anyone that if you keep a patient with any respiratory virus from expelling the virus it will allow the virus to gain strength within the person.
