The US is not a democracy we are a Constitutional Republic.

Still don't understand why a vaccinated person needs to worry about being around a unvaccinated person unless the vaccine doesn't work.

For me no real reason, just doing my job. We all know there were no weapons of mass destruction and that Bin Laden was not in Afghanistan. The War on Terror was a farce.

Because the British had a standing Army in America during the 18th century that was attacking the people of America that opposed taxation without representation.

That's an interesting observation. In all serioussness, what's the fundamental difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic in practice, and particularly in the context of the US? Genuinely interested to hear the clarification because your country is generally held up as the leading example of democracy in todays world.

    In simple terms.......
In a constitutional republic the constitution protects the rights of all people not just the majority. In a democracy the majority rules which is why vaccine mandates in any form are unconstitutional hence illegal.

For more if you would like to read about it.

"The main difference between democracy and constitutional republic is that in democracy, the general public has the highest power whereas, in a constitutional republic, the constitution has the highest power."
    https://pediaa.com/what-is-the-difference-between-democracy-and-constitutional-republic/

"Hamilton recognized the first of three harms of a real democracy. Democracy excludes the minority’s rights. It reminds me of the classic saying, “Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch, but a republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”"

No I haven’t, and wrong again. You guys were 100% the reason for our right to keep and bear arms, no matter what your history books may tell you, and I’m sure they paint a much different picture. Other than that it was forward thinking for future enemies:.. resulting from our experience with you guys.

    Full stop.

I cannot amplify the differences. I can say we are a democratic republic in that we elect people to make the decisions then, they do as they see fit. We seldom vote for laws on the federal level.

Trouble in the USA today is the two party system with our 'trusted' representives seemingly more interested in maintaining power than offering good leadership. If for example a democrat or repulican fails to tow the party line - whether they belive it good or not - they get "primaried". That is the party machine will withold campaign funds at re-election time if you don't eat poop and howl at the moon when they say.

Our presidential elections do not count votes for one, then the other, and whoever gets the most wins. The electoral college decides. The states are divided into districts that get electors, and the electors go to washington DC to cast their votes. During the Jan 6 uprising, invaders tried to prevent the votes from being cast because they were convinced that it was all rigged. Plus Trump told them to have at it.

Personally, I am angry and frustrated that we as a country don't wildly pursue all this new green energy business. It seems like there is a lot of money and jobs... a win-win, and not just for one person getting both wins! haha

Right now, I am sitting here, quite a bit under the weather. Not deathly ill, but sick enough keep me away from my gf and holiday. I got two Pfizer's plus booster. I would be very concerned except for having been vaxed. I think the anti-vaxers are wrong to think vaccines are somehow bad. I believe the scientists and virologists who say that until the covid gets wiped out it continues to morph into a varient - which it would not do if more people would vax. So the shut downs and problems continue. Almost all the covid patients dying and taking up space in the hospitals - to the dismay of heart attack patients and accident victims - are un vacccinated. I wholeheartedly believe that 846,905 Americans have died from either covid itself or they were already fighting one kinda minor thing or something serious and covid helped them thru deaths door.

You are playing semantics. The second amendment was based on the Revolutionary War but was not enacted until years later. The need for it is the same either way.

And YES I did mention the objective to the tours.

By the way how is the pedo prince (Andrew) doing now that his girl friend got convicted?

That he's got the experience and know how to put a little dent in those 4.65 million boogey-men you waxed statistical about. Or don't you remember typing that?

That is about the worse deduction I've ever seen on the subject, and altogether false.

I was in a briefing with the US Ambassador to Iraq under Hillary Clinton. He said verbatim- "We're here for the oil." True story.

And I'll remind our esteemed UK members that they were on board for nearly the entire affair. Let me guess though- You guys were there for a far nobler purpose?

But feel free to step up on any soap boxes here, because that's probably where this is now going.

You're right, with all that advanced technology back then there was no reason it should've been enacted overnight. I mean, the internet alone should've expedited this.

Your "learned scholars." Sounds like you need to back to school yourself.

There are therapeutic treatments that have seen success in treating COVID but in many states and countries they are being demonized because they are considered off label and are no longer under a patent so big pharma can't profit from using them. Why not start allowing free access to any treatment available instead of restricting the use?
