Just using one major US city as an example. Not really over crowded with COVID patients but on another note Chicago did have 2,021 shootings so far this year. I am sure some of them are still taking up space.

All Chicago hospitals are required to report bed and ventilator capacity, availability and occupancy to the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) daily. This dashboard summarizes hospital resources across Chicago as of 11:59pm for that calendar day. Data are updated daily.

Well, I thought I'd study this thread a bit more to see how we reached the point of people considering jumping off tall buildings in frustration, and guess what? It's basically been dormant for quite some months, until it was revived by @Traveller who posted a list of bullet points to decry and deny the vaccination standpoint. Who didn't see that coming?
And in fairness to the OP, this thread when it began was posting a rhetorical question as vaccinations weren't actually available at the time. So who's sermonising, exactly? From where I am it looks like a six and two threes. :)

Should anyone wish to fact check me :grinning: P23 of this thread.Post 446 was made on Feb 24th. Post 447 was made on Boxing Day, almost exactly ten months later.

It’s all healthy discussion until the insults start. That’s when posting should stop, as the discussion has run its useful course.
I am always interested in digesting opposing views to help mould my own opinions and views with substance and experience

Entirely correct mate. This thread appears to me to now be stuck in a groove very much like the Brexit thread before it, and the Trump thing more recently. (No virtue signalling intended, whatever that actually is) :)

I’m out of my Christmas supply I’m afraid so I suppose I’d best stop giving it away! Hopefully, I’m now immune to all viruses and I’m about to go on a waltz around the (empty..) local hospital, telling people that all they have to do is say they are immune as their best friends brother’s mate had it and he’s ok….

On that note, the last time we had a"wave" my son was seeing a patient who was adamant he just had a bit of flu, even as they wheeled him down to ICU. My son signed his death certificate the following week. As has been advised, speak to family who know. Both my sons and their respective partners work in health care, and they are in no doubt as to what is real, and what helps. But if others wish to take a different view, that's entirely up to them, and I certainly wouldn't want to see any kind of compulsion come into the equation. :)

In my country, less than 10 pct of the adult population has got at least two shots. So the unprotected adults are few and far between. Still, they represent 9 out of 10 hospital cases. I would have respected the non-vaxxers a lot more if they were also against treatment. At the hospital they are pumped full of various medications without objections.

In December we had quite a few restrictions reintroduced. So now businesses are struggling to protect the non-vaxxers and the hospitals. Hm.

Sorry to hear this @Smilinjack My girlfriend and myself also work in hospitals and unfortunately, lots of hospital porters are getting ill now. A few have died.
Staff are struggling. Sure, not everywhere, but it’s happening. I’ve had two family members die and 2 people I know. I just can’t (personally) understand why people who aren’t afraid of the jab, get it. If you have reservations about it, that’s fine and your personal choice imho.
It’s no reason to criticise people who do get it though.
But, in these times, I’d hate to be the one to pass it on. I may have done, who knows. That’s why I do what I can to prevent it.
I too am going to leave this here.

Well on another note I think Covid is only a small part to what’s going on. Weve a big problem with over population and earth trashing and this is just something to keep our minds on whilst we’re being ‘trimmed’ down on the quiet. Bit like feeding lettuce to a rabbit whilst ‘clubbing’ it from behind. I’m not going to say any more and not going fall into arguments on here so you won’t hear from me again on this very long thread

Just to be clear, unless someone beats me to it, the NHS isn’t completely free, we pay for it through our national insurance contributions. It is free at the point of delivery. In other words, no further medical bills.

You’re right, it is stuck in a groove and that’s partly down to some of my contributions with our anti-vax friend across the pond. I’ll draw that line of enquiry to a close as there appears to be no further evidence and the case seems clear. Depending on your point of view. :)

I'm in the States and I have private health insurance. I don't deal with "NHS" so you're pissing up a tree here.

Newsflash- your “previous post” (<—— your words) to post #635, where you clearly stated “see previous post” …is #634.

    Think man, think.

    Context, man. Context.

Don’t know about you but I’m getting a bit bored with this now.

    "Context." Nice try.

Your post count here dictates otherwise.
