I bought a constand headstock lift , worked very easily with my 2020 1050RS and now with my 1200RS.

Good night, the racefit looks great, could you tell me if you have noticed any change in the performance of the bike after removing the catalyst? Thank you very much and congratulations on your purchase.

Can anyone tell me on their 1200rs how fast do their bikes go in 2nd gear when hitting the red rev limiter, been out of mine today and got 101mph in ......2nd gear ( of course on track) just wondering if mines faster since putting the racefit exhaust on ......seems to go like a bullet

Yes, should be about 101 mph (gps) top of 2nd gear per my personal notes.

The question you should be asking is, how quickly does a RS1200 top out in 2nd, the rev limiter won't alter due to a can swap.

Austin Racing is ready with three exhausts: rs22, gp1r and my favorite gp3 belly exit

The 1200RS has an accessory socket near the engine on the right side. Is it possible to get an adapter to usb that fits this? There’s loads of cheap cigarette lighter to USB adapters available - Will these work with the Speed Triple or is it a different size?

    Thanks.

    If it’s a small one, it’s a din plug.

Just signed up after being pointed here from another forum (PistonHeads). Copy / paste of what's been going on my end:

    • 27th October: Order placed / deposit paid, bike in-stock just needed some accessories ordered and fitting
    • 6th November: Bike collected, all good, ran fine etc.
    • Sometime after that, while doing the running in miles noticed the heated grips had a split in the sheathing where the cable pops out of the handlebar and joins the loom. Suspected a shoddy installation job.
    • 3rd December: First service completed at 470miles (their service manager told me they can come in as early as 450miles or as late as 750miles without issue), heated grip cable looked at the same time, was told they had re-sheathed it during the service. Found that to be false, they'd just pushed the split up into the handlebars, it hadn't been touched other than that. Didn't make a fuss about it and just told them the cable was the same as before and it needed sorting.
    • Replacement grips fitted about a week or so after that under warranty. Happy days.
    • Couple more rides in December, no issues.
    • 22nd December: Dash lit up like a Christmas tree during a ride but the bike started and ran fine, with the exception that QS and cruise didn't work. Bike goes into limp mode not long after. Spoke to the dealership and they told me to bring it in. Proceeded to ride the bike (slowly) back to the dealer, but it cut out when trying to move off from a standstill, causing me to lose balance and drop the bike. This damaged the right side engine cover, indicator, mirror, and radiator cowl. All of which I was told I would have to foot the bill for (at the princely cost of £370ish), despite this happening because the bike cut out on me?
    • Left the bike with them over Christmas as the dealership was then closed until 4th January 2022.
    • 4th January 2022: Dealership advised that the issue was the exhaust valve which would need to be replaced under warranty.
    • Bike collected about a week or so later. Ridden home less than 4 miles and parked.
    • 29th January 2022: First proper ride since the bike got sorted. I say "proper" ride, but less than 15miles later the dash lit up like a Christmas tree again with engine and transmission faults showing. Spoke to the dealer and took the bike straight in. It's now with them awaiting diagnosis.
Spoke to the dealership manager today. I outlined my stance and said I would be looking for a replacement (if they can offer assurances that a new one wouldn't suffer similar issues) or I want a refund.

Manager gave it the usual "need to see what's going on with your bike blah blah blah", only a skeleton crew in today and he needs to catch up with the service manager and get a tech on it tomorrow, going to give me a call back.

Have also emailed Triumph's national aftersales manager, who has replied just to say they're going to speak to the dealership.

Such a pisser when this kind of thing happens. It's the first "new new" bike I've bought and it's certainly taken the shine off the experience.
