Think I should explain mine really! Spanky Ham is a cartoon character off Drawn Together. Spanky is a crude pig (literally) with few social skills his primary gag is his crudeness, he takes great pleasure in his own bodily functions, and is frequently seen looking at pornography. When he overtans himself, he resembles bacon. Hence my lovely friends nicknamed me Spanky and it seems to have stuck!
Mine I've had for a few years, cos I always have a large order when out biking with mates and we stop for junk fast food.only time I'm allowed to go large!
Well mine has been with me for along time i used to have a bonus ball at our drinking hole and i used to sign it chris p as thats my name, she got flustered one day as we were late arriving one night and signed it chrispy and it stuck.......sorry to bore u all LOL
It's Geordie for George, I don't know why, similar to you Welsh all being 'Taffy'. However you'll find many subdivisions of the Geordie Clan, & the accent varies a lot depending on exactly where you come from. To coin a phrase, not a lot of people know that.
Geordie is normally people from the north east, newcastle, Im from sunderland so Im a makkem. Janner, is that plymouth or devon???
I'd narrow that down a bit further, & say Geordies are from Tyneside, I come from Shields, but went to school in Sunderland, & had to endure much pisstaking for my proper geordie accent. :frown:
I'm actually a Jock (Scottish for John). Taffys are called after the river Taff. I was brought up just outside Thirsk and used to go to the Percy Arms in Newcastle and the Yorkshire Dragoon in Yarm. I've some good mates in the Tyne Phoenix mcc and I've been to their Sandancer rally by the lighthouse in South Shields. Any of this familiar?
& people from Shields are known as Sandancers, hence the rally name. I know the lighthouse well, (& the Percy Arms) but not the rally as, like youself it seems, I've lived all over the bloody place since I was 17.
