    Definitely non-Triumph.

I have two smaller kayaks. My granddaughter, age 10, has taken an interest. Another would be nice so she, her mom, and I can all go out together. I was cruising Craigslist last night and saw an ad saying this person had to move from her apartment. She had a few things pictured, nothing of real interest to me (three ferrets - HARD NO!), but I opened the ad. She had a 12' Pelican Mustang 120 Kayak. I contacted her. She said it was in perfect condition, only used four or five times. $200. SOLD!!! I shot right over this morning. As I suspected...broke up with her boyfriend, can't afford the rent alone, selling everything. Second floor apartment with a turn and landing on the steps. It was a bitch humping that thing down.
    Came with a paddle.

Wow, I had absolutely no idea that the Lone Star Rally was that big! That rivals Sturgis and Daytona. If it didn't mean hours (more like days) riding across south Texas to get there I might be tempted to attend next year with my riding buddies. Do you have any photos from the rally, @kiloechoxray?

I don't have any pix of the event, but I'm sure there's tons on google. Honestly, I had no idea it was going on until I got there. It was canceled last year when I had just moved from Austin to Houston so I was unaware of it. The other big rally I know of in TX is Rebublic Of Texas (ROT) Rally which shuts down Austin for a couple of days in June. I'd bet Lone Star is more fun since the weather in Nov. is so much better than June.

I suppose this ought to be “What are you going to do with your Non Triumph today” ;)
So, the weather looks reasonable today so I’m going to head out into Cheshire and hopefully grab a coffee and bacon sarnie at the cafe at Venetian Marina. Aiming for about 12.30 to 13.00.

I hope you're having (or had) a good ride, Yorkshireman! I'm also hoping you'll post a photo or two. I'm curious about the Venetian Marina.

I will answer for Andy (@Yorkshireman ) after a bit of a missed meeting I met with Andy at a pub in Nantwich (The Sacred Orchard). We had a fab burger and chips and a great catchup.
So this is how the day unfolded. I read Andy's post and realised that he planning to have lunch at a marina only a few miles from my home. I rang him and arranged to meet him. Unfortunately I went to the wrong marina and rang Andy again. He confirmed that he had arrive at his planned location and I realised that I was not at the correct location. We then agreed to meet at the pub in Nantwich. I sent Andy the satnav details at we finally got to meet. A definite result.

Your not wrong. There are canals all around Cheshire with marina's dotted all over the place. The two today were only a few miles apart :);)

Fantastic pics Dougie. Is it usually that colour this time of year or is it milder than the norm. I take it the Rocket is furloughed for the winter?

Its all gone strangely brown down here

I wasn't exactly sure where Cheshire is - having had a look I can see there'd be lots of canals!

Sorry Sandi, no pics, I was a bit miffed that the cafe was closed after riding 70 miles, should have rung first I suppose. We’ve hired canal boats from there before and it’s a nice ride to get there, hence my plan. This is the place

Yeah it has been milder than normal for November, it was 14c today so I didn't even need my heated grips on! I was out on The Rocket a few days ago, but once the temps go down and they put salt on the road it will be tucked up in the garage, hopefully that won't be for a few weeks yet
