So, I took Jet to MCT last Wednesday for a bit of suspender fettling :p

I was finding it a bit of a harsh ride on the young girl esp with RA in my joints, so Darren set about changing settings to suit me, rather than the generic settings done at the factory. After an hour of spanner spinning and the release of very over tightened rear shock adjuster rings, he said "ready for a ride?" OH YES!

Off I went down the test route and boy what a difference, instead of throwing me around like a bucking bronco, it was compliant to my every wish, sitting firmly down into the tarmac when accelerating and soaking up any bumps on the corners, to say it was good would definitely be an understatement, it was a night and day kinda ride, soooo glad I went, it has changed the bike completely.

So, if you're having suspension woes, take it to Darren at MCT :D https://www.mctsuspension.com/

Looks good, how much did they charge to set it up? I take it you had no new components other than the stickers

Hi Daffy, like you I got a little fed up with the stiff suspension on my 20 STRS, these are delivered from the factory on the road settings, whilst these are ok on smoother roads, however when riding the awful British roads we seem to have, I got fed up with feeling every bump and undulation that transmitted to by back, so decided to adjust the suspension, starting with the front forks I adjusted the Compression, Rebound and Preload to a softer setting, then adjusted the rear Ohlins shock Compression and Rebound again to a softer setting, then measured and adjusted the Sag. All in all it only took 20 minutes from start to finish, the only tools you require is the one supplied by Triumph for the front fork Compression and Rebound (round alloy key) and the allen key in the tool kit under the seat (minimal) and a C Spanner for the rear spring spring. I went out on a 100 mile round trip in cold and damp conditions, and what a transformation, I no longer feel like I have been jarred about. The STRS has to be one of the easiest and most straightforward machines to adjust the suspension on that I have done. Glad you are pleased with the way yours's now rides smoother. I did try and upload a GoPro video to the post, however it just will not, maybe because it is in to high a resolution. Ride safe all.

Nice bike, Daffy...and a GREAT garage! :D:heart_eyes: Your post has inspired me to start looking into changing the suspension on my Speed Triple RS.

Very nice! I'm OK with my factory settings on the Daytona, as the roads I ride are nearly perfect. We do have dips instead of neighborhood gutter drains, so you have to slow way down for those. I could hit them hard in the KLR-650. Ha ha.
