A good mate and I left Cumbria on Monday morning for a two night stay in Dumbarton to have a spin around Glencoe.

Bike packed and ready to go. Note wet weather:confused:. Stopped for a brew in Keswick and it faired up after that:).

Weather not great all the way up so not many pictures from trip up but will put some in next post from Glencoe ride.

Up next morning to rain .
Plan was an anti clockwise loop up Loch Lomond to Tindrum but weather was awful, dark, wet so we missed the turning and ended up doing the ride clockwise.
Rain all the way to Inveraray when it started to clear.

A few miles later had a brew on the veranda of the Loch Morton Hotel

Fish n chips in Oban and a chat with a lovely couple from Cornwall

    Then a few from Glencoe

After the obligatory brew stop at the Green Welly Stop we got back to Loch Lomond as it started to rain again.

As we pulled into the car park at the hotel it was pouring down so we timed it to perfection :grinning: before retiring to the bar:grinning::grinning:
A great couple of days covering just short of 700 miles. Tomorrow's job is washing the bike!

Cheers for that mate. Pity about the weather, but Glen Coe is a treat.

Looks like you had a great couple of days. As you say you cannot predict the great British weather, so you just have to go for it. The pictures were great, thanks for posting. :):)

    Really enjoyed it @Wessa thanks.
Looking at maybe the Snowdonia 360 next year-or back to Scotland. Don't really care as long as we get away:grinning:

That's a great route to ride, especially in good weather but still worth it in the rain! One memory I have from Oban is fresh, locally caught Longoustines in garlic sauce from a stall on the Harbour, delicious!!

I think that’s the largest tank bag I’ve ever seen. Could you actually see over the top of it?

I did need to off load a fair bit of stuff into my mates top box (fnar fnar) after a while as I couldn't see my Beeline on the bars.

At least you could lean on that tank bag if you started to doze off, Dawsy. ;):joy:
