    It's a no from me.
    Reckon Triumph are suffering from an identity crisis. The Speed Triple used to be a true naked, it has lost that identity.
    Can't understand the obsession with top speed.
    They are now building these bikes for the track.

    Semi active suspension on a bike for the track (realistically) and not for the road bike that all of the reviews say needs it?
    Surely the wrong way around?
    Bloody expensive though and ducati territory.

    I like the look but the bars may be too low for what I want it for. I would love my 2018 RS to have a little more wind protection and a bit lighter, a tad more sports but with some sort of fairing. The engine we have is pretty much perfect for road use….

    Well I saw the live launch this morning, whilst not obviously having ridden one, for the money they are asking even for the base model, I would personally prefer the Ducati Panigale, the Ducati is way ahead in looks, electronics and performance. I am a little uncertain where Triumph are pitching the new machine, given the sports riding theme then it is up against the R1 - S100RR ZX10R and GSXR 1000, it will be interesting to see it pitched head to head with the competition and what the road and track test show. Anyway it's Ducati for my money any day.

    Blimey , how much is it …? Doesn’t hold a candle against the Ducati if that’s the price bracket ..

    I can't make my mind up if I like it or not. Its a tad heavy. It should have separate wheelie control and tc, does it? Like the suspension and the fact they have at last chose a nice colour scheme. Its very expensive. Not as much torque as my superduke. May be too extreme a riding position for the road. Gonna have problems fitting any sort of luggage. A full fairing would have been nicer. Exhaust looks like a cheap afterthought.

    The base price is £17,950 of your finest English Pounds, if you want heated grips, tank pad and engine protectors then the price goes up to £18,322, get a replacement end can and the cost goes up to £19,000. It will be interesting to see how well it sells.

    I think it's hideous. Why make a speed look like a thruxton?

    I like it. It is hard to see exactly what it competes with, it isn’t really an all out sports bike and it’s more extreme than the super naked crowd. Sort of a modern Thruxton - a truly modern cafe racer. Time will tell if there’s a market for it - I suspect there is.

    I wouldn’t want to swap my 1200RS for one though. The riding position with clip on’s and higher set pegs is clearly more track oriented and I like the more upright comfort on my current one. £18k does seem steep, but it does come with the electronic Ohlins which will be very nice. I would think this alone would account for much of the premium over the RS.

    Just bought the 1200rs bit cheeky of triumph bringing out the rr but to me the rr looks terrible and that price tag.....I'll definitely be keeping the rs......

    It looks a million $$$ and I love it. I do think the majority of people who can afford it would like a more relaxed riding position though.

    Same here :) . Besides that i just prefer the front of my RS compared to the RR.

    That is exactly what I did with my Daytona 1200, swapped the extreme clip-ons for LSL Superbike bars, now it is nice to ride. I'd have the RR just to look at it though.
