It was a great trip, thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic scenery, great roads. Two niggles - on day two my headset gave the ghost. Which was an annoyance, because that meant looking at the sat nav all the time. Second my start engine button behaved erraticly. At first I thought it was the side stand switch, but not touching that and trying to start again did not make any difference. Next I tried wiggling the clutch lever a bit - that worked (as in after some wiggling the start button would respond), so obviously that needs looked at.
Other than that Speedy did not miss a beat.

But I think a trip to Germany next year is on the cards.

If not I'm contemplating a trip to the Austrian, Italian and Swiss Alps, possibly with a bit of Slovenia thrown in...

I find that as I travel alone, it gives me something to do in the evenings, as well as reliving the day, as it were.
