If your plan one day happens, I live 20min from Annecy (on the other nice lake of the area). Let me know, I gonna specialize into international ttf meetings in the Alps
It was a great trip, thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic scenery, great roads. Two niggles - on day two my headset gave the ghost. Which was an annoyance, because that meant looking at the sat nav all the time. Second my start engine button behaved erraticly. At first I thought it was the side stand switch, but not touching that and trying to start again did not make any difference. Next I tried wiggling the clutch lever a bit - that worked (as in after some wiggling the start button would respond), so obviously that needs looked at. Other than that Speedy did not miss a beat.
Today's route, 210 miles Thanks for taking an interest, I hope you enjoyed following me on my journey. Vulpes out!
If there’s a thread of the year competition, this is a definite contender. Brilliant trip and pictures. Thanks for sharing.
The engine is not even cold yet mate! But I think a trip to Germany next year is on the cards. If not I'm contemplating a trip to the Austrian, Italian and Swiss Alps, possibly with a bit of Slovenia thrown in...
That´s very nice of you to say mate, glad you enjoyed it. I find that as I travel alone, it gives me something to do in the evenings, as well as reliving the day, as it were.
So pleased you are home safe @Vulpes . As has been said a brilliant ride report supported by loads of excellent pictures. Have really enjoyed your journey . You can celebrate Mrs Vulpes pass and your fantastic journey now you are home. Germany sounds good to me next year. Wessa
Cheers Steve, it's been a pleasure doing the reports. Glad you enjoyed it. Mrs V and I will have our first little ride-out this Sunday - that'll be fun! Let's hope Germany is a go next year!
Thanks for that, I'm trying to put a similar tour together for next year. Awesome tip, so jealous, pleased you had such a good time
Brilliant trip man! Haven't been able to follow as closely as I would have liked as I'm currently on tour as well. Will give it a more thorough read through next week. Stunning pictures, will have to get some alp action in the future
Would love to! And will at some point. Can't say when though, with all this covid shite, tests, certificates etc. But its definitely one for the (hopefully near) future
