The Navigation function on the My-Triumph app actually works well and is nicely integrated into the display. But if the Bluetooth connection is unreliable it’s next to useless and pointless having it.

There is a triumph branded one if you want to pay a little more, one of the dealers is selling them with the optional bar mount, they look simple, smart and from reviews last a day on a charge.

I just wish triumph had fitted a USB port on the bike rather than the din port by the engine

anyone added a USB port yet, wondering were to get the power with out using the battery

My key fob light was flickering, so I opened it, bent the prongs inside to apply more pressure, wiped off the battery and prongs, and now the key has a solid light.

I have an actual update!!!! They believe they found the problem... though they have no ability to fix it.

Apparently there is a pressure sensitive cable connecting the Servo Motor to the Butterfly Valve responsible for actuating the Exhaust Valves. This cable is VERY tight to begin with. When I sit my fat-ass on the bike, it is supposedly tugging on the pressure sensor and activating all of the codes.

The only way for them to fix this is to either get a longer cable to install, or to update the ECU to allow for more flex in that pressure sensor. Either way, it comes down to Triumph corporate basically issuing an official recall/update.

    How long will this take?

First wash today. 400 miles in now and I’m really starting to gel with this bike, I’m absolutely loving it. Even restricted to 6000 rpm it’s an absolute blast!

That's typical - all of the launch videos said that the RS was what their customers wanted and that was the only model that they were focussing on . then they do this, which looks like that bike that I actually wanted them to make!

Hey all, I've just traded my '20 Aprilia Tuono Factory in against a 1200rs.. I loved the Tuono, but it was just a bit too lairy for the road and a bit loud for my little village home :) looking forward to being part of the triumph community!

I was wondering where to get the power from for a USB socket. On my 1050RS I had a USB socket under the passenger seat so that was no brainer. Besides the issues I LOVE the bike!

My issues with the bike so far:

    • Broken thermostat, was eventually a week at the dealer.
    • Can’t adapt the screen brightness, it is a shitty display anyway.
    • Sweating gasket of the crank cover
    • <Moaning on> Why a DIN socket in 2021 and behind the right cylinder? < /moaning off>
    • I need to rectify this. Problem is gone: Since last week the engine doesn’t start easily I noticed. It is the third time that it takes a second attempt to fire up the engine. At the first attempt I keep the starter motor running at least 7 seconds before I give up. Probably another visit to the…..

HOT coolant on my boots, tyres...

    Burnt coolant, very smokey.

    sweaty gasket, crank cover.

Better late than.... I have to honest on this one. Before I left I had an amber warning, engine failure. But I had many of those amber alerts during the break in period, the dealer always said no problemo.

Boiling coolant, no the plastic didn't melt amazingly.

The bike has 3207 kms (2.000 miles) on the clock. No starting issues today / after the 3rd time I fire up the engine. I found the engine a bit rough in city traffic under 3.5k rpm compared to my old 1050rs but that is getting better too. It needs to break in like the TSA on my old 1050RS :p

The demo bike at the dealers I visited over the weekend had the same issue with the crank cover gasket.

Just noticed that the rubber "bumper" for your side stand has also come off too. Sorry.

Anyone else annoyed by the wobbly clutch lever on triumphs.. I tried shimming the two pivot points to take up the slack but it hasn't improved.

tempted to get a replacement, does anyone know of a suitable replacement that will fit ?

Also on the aftermarket exhaust topic, whilst SC have announced their slip on options.. Zard have confirmed they will also be doing a full system option based upon the street triple RS exhaust. that's the one I'll be waiting for hopefully not too long away! I believe Austin Racing are also working on something.
