Thanks, Doug! That's a great photo of your Street Glide. :) I have a 2020 Street Glide Special with the scorched orange & silver flux paint. My hubby has a 2017 Street Glide that's matte black. We both love our Street Glides. How do you like having the lowers on your bike? My hubby has always contemplated getting those for his bike.

What an interesting change from a Super Tenere to a Bonneville T120. What led you to such a different type of bike as a replacement for an adventure bike if I may ask?

I love having lowers and have put them on all of my Harley touring bikes I have had. They protect your shins from rocks, bugs, rain, hail, etc. This time around I bought the cheaper Advan Black ones instead of the OEM Harley. They just get sand blasted with grit down low like that anyways.

As for adventure bike to Bonneville I have been on a Super Tenere for the last 4 years. I am getting a bit old and busted up so off road is out of the question. I had it set up as a highway touring bike. I have taken it on trips up to 5,000 miles. (in 10 days) They are great fun but I already have my Harley for long distance rides and wanted something with a lower stance for local riding and some short trips of a few hundred miles.

Here is a shot of it just outside of Moab, UT.

Thanks for the info, Doug. I'll pass it along to my husband. He and I have a friend with whom we ride a lot who bought Advan's chopped tourpak and is very happy with it. Do you have the Advan tourpak on your Street Glide or the H-D product?

Your shift to the Bonneville makes great sense. I hope you like it a lot. I've been really pleased with each of the Triumphs I've owned--a 2012 Thruxton, a 2016 Thruxton R, and the Speed Triple RS that I currently own.

That's a great photo of the Super Tenere and that beautiful vista near Moab. I love the West.

Great looking machine, the OE tyres aren’t great, as you said they tramline, the OE tyres on my Thruxton 1200 did the same, I swapped them out for Pirelli Diablo’s it fixed the tramline issue and quickened the steering due to the sharper profile, anyway lovely bike the T120 enjoy.

    Yes, she does! :grinning:

The T120 is great for two-up. I’ve put on stiffer Ohlins rear shocks to suit, and my fabulous wife says it’s her favorite bike of all the ones I’ve owned.

Also, that colorway is especially nice Doug.
