I wonder if an IAM instructor could point out ALL the mistakes Tom made… Personally I think riding in the gutter whilst doing the chicken dance and flapping his arms about can’t be good.
I guess that was considered the "safe" way to ride back then which may well have been true when you think of the traffic levels compared to today and how slow the bikes were! On the hand signals theme I've started using hand turn signals on the SS, simply because I keep forgetting to cancel the indicators as the warning light on the clocks is so far below my line of sight. A poor excuse I know!
I'm glad that someone else is having the same trouble as me with indicators!! I have just bought a Street Twin and am also finding that I keep forgetting to cancel the indicators I find that the warning light is difficult to see
