found a broze colored circlip on garage floor afterpullimg wheels ro jave new tires mounted. It isnt rhe circlips from the wheel bearings...this is a different kind of circlip, only 3/4 round and slips over something, not the kind that fits inside the hub. Please advise me if it came from my bike...2020 Street Twin
I looked over the brakes, but didnt see anything amiss. Brake work fine. Went around the bloke for low speed test...everything worked. Put it back up on lift and rechecked everything, then went out to longer 5mile test ride. So far so good. Looks clean and new, not like it fell off my +1yr old bike with 6500miles so Im hoping it something random off something else. I will say the Conto RA3s are awesome upgrade to the stock tires.....feels like a different bike.
I don't know about your bike, but on mine the pivot bolt for footpegs are held in with a similar clip.
It’s sometimes called an ‘E’ clip because of its shape. It’s designed to fit a groove cut into a shaft like the footrest pivot bolt as previously mentioned, but this one would fit a much larger diameter shaft. Rear brake lever pivot shaft as an example.
Im thinking it from something else in garage. Everything still looks good and I've ridden it 2 days for total of 40miles so far. Night&day difference in tires. I was looking at my Cruz tools roll for Triumph....if anyone has one, please look at the driver they make for the wheel wrench.....oddly enough, there seems a groove around that that I think it came from there. Same bronze color and and for some reason Im thinking it fits there. Thanks everyone for the opinions!
