Tuesday I took the wife to the hospital and left her there It's quite close and thought she would be quite a while, anyway came home and thought I would make myself a bacon butty for lunch so bunged the bacon in a pan and started to butter bread etc and got a call from the wife saying she was ready so shoved another frying pan over the top of the other and thought I had turned the ring off.....but I hadn't, came back ten minutes later to find the kitchen full of acrid smoke but very lucky that all the doors were shut so the rest of the house didn't smell too bad, but it is still lingering in the kitchen despite a wash down and leaving baking soda and onions around so needless to say I am not too popular...but feeling very lucky.
Tricky-Dicky There that's why I leave all that type of thing to Tracy. Our brains are tuned to motor bikes not cookers. Bet you have never forgot to turn you bike of. I usually use lemon juice to kill the smells. Joe.
No it was more like what you get when decokeing a head......needless to say we are two frying pans worse off
Have a go at restoring your pans. Pour about an inch or two of water in each and put four or five tea bags in each. Let them simmer for 30/40 mins but for *ucks sake don't let them boil dry. It usually works even for very badly burned on pans.
