you can actually pull them off with yer fingers but its a decent fight they put up! good old wd-40 helped too actually and also was great on the residue.
he reckons the clutch micro switch sometimes is not registering so bike not starting ..not an issue I have encountered so far..he also says the tyres are too sporty.
I'm going to switch to m9 at tyre change time..agree the tread pattern (or lack of it!) doesn't inspire wet weather confidence..dunno tho only got 60 miles on it so far..coz of weather!
Heat them up with a heat gun or hairdryer, then pull some fishing line down between the fork and reflector. I like to pull towards the reflector as well. Strong thread can work as well. Sometimes a sawing actions works well too. I’ve done lots of these in the past, it’s not difficult. The fishing line will not damage the fork, so not to worry.

yea, ha a 2 hour test on the demo on friday, love it apart from suspension to harsh for the road. not sure if soft settings would be enough. getting tyres swapped front res., heated gr. tank pad, frame sliders and maybe screen
got a couple of hundred miles in now and shifter has been faultless..I did adjust the gear lever so that I can make a firm gear select. my only criticism is there is no feel to a gear engaging through the lever when up/down shifting, but the box will still be a bit tight so that will prob change. neutral is a fiddle but you get the knack after a while. MV agusta shifter was shyte in comparison...
dealer fitted an optimate lead free prior to pick up - I've been using the optimate lithium TM472 tender with no problems
I got one two weeks back, and after beating a snowstorm home and waiting for snow to melt I finally got a few hundred miles on it (still in the second stage of Break in as far as RPMs go so I haven't been past 5k yet), which IS KILLING ME! At least the snow gave me lots of time to do mods and stare at the brand new tires... Chicken strips I know.... I have had one issue (that my dealer will fix, and sounds easy) my TPMS alert comes on and has to be moved off the screen 3 times due to low tire psi... Only thing is my tire psi is correct, and I don't have TPMS sensors, so they need to turn that off at the first service. Not really an error, just turned on when it should be turned off. Suspension is amazing unless you are on washboard dirt roads (I live on dirt roads in the mountains) or horrible (pothole) roads... to be expected. I am only 165 lbs (In America! GASP!), guessing 175/180 with gear and I have yet to tune the suspension to my weight, but am honestly in no hurry. I also watched every video (yeah all the French, German and Japanese ones too, hoots and giggles and engine noises are international!) and was nervous about the suspension. I feel much better about that after riding it. I should note, this is a canyon carver play bike, with some commuting mixed in, and I do like my suspension on the stiffer side for playing. If I were to be located within a city, and planned on primarily city roads (consistent potholes/ groves and other damage) then I do believe the suspension would be wound a little tight for me (but rear springs are pretty cheap to get the right spring rate for weight). Bottom line- Its tight, but if you come from sportbikes its similar, nothing to write home about. It's a blast once the road turns. To riding it... Holy light. That stands out above all else as soon as you start rolling. It is so confidence inspiring it's crazy. The motor is crazy smooth, transmission is amazing, quickshifter is smooth, got it to fail once so far by basically trying to see how low of revs it would quickshift smooth... answer: super low rpms! (I was testing this while still at my 3500 rpm ceiling if that helps...) The intake growl is an amazing noise that none of the videos can prepare you for...louder than the exhaust, the growl is amazing and very addictive to keep making. I do wish the exhaust was louder from the factory... but let's be real, that stock can is huge, ugly, heavy and covers the rear wheel, so we know they won't be around long... I've already taken the end cap off and there is nothing removable, or accessible within the mufflers. Ride modes are crazy noticeable, (rain mode works great for slow, dirt roads like a champ!) Road is still very responsive but sport is almost touchy, but smooth (not jerky, just very immediate) I have not yet tried track mode... I'm still at 5k rpms so no point. I don't know If I have answered any questions... go ride one, or at least sit on it and wheel it around.

So after a visit the the local dealer to have a sit on their new demo (it was still wrapped in plastic) and look at some figures, I went down the road and bought a new Superduke. Couldn't help it. New unregistered 2020 model in black with £800 off, free Tech Pack and £199 for the Akra. It just made more sense as a road bike for me at 10 stone. Did 100 miles on Sunday and have no regrets. I'll be keeping a watching eye to see if Triumph revise the Speed over the next year or so.
I'll be watching too, but it's probably more like a 3 year wait for the first update. For instance, the all-new 765 introduced in 2017 was revised for 2020. Probably also I will wind up with a KTM but the smaller Duke 890 model, I'm looking for fun not peak performance.
I went to look at the 890R, then went back the following day to look at the SDR. The 890 reviews well, but it looked a bit too small and lightweight to me. After owning a 2019 Street I thought it'd feel much the same and I'd need to keep wringing its neck to enjoy it. The Duke looks much better put together, where some bits of the 890 looked built to a price. It's also happy trotting along in 3rd gear at 30 mph if you feel like it and then grunting its way through the twisty bits.
Excellent you won't be disappointed! Its the perfect fast roadbike. And extremely easy to ride fast! Good deal you got too, I got a 21 at 2020 price and free tech pack, and discounted daytona boots. Though I haven't actually got the boots yet... bloody germans
Early days but I'm really enjoying it. I did 100 miles on Sunday on mixed A and B roads and when I got back I could still walk and feel my hands. I even thought about turning around and doing it again when I got home. At the moment it's feeling like what I've been missing for a few years. Daytona's are great boots, I've not bought anything else for the last 10 or so years. Customs is a nightmare at the moment, it took over 8 weeks for £24 worth of A* chest armour to turn up.
Pretty-much agree with what @Levertoon has said. I've done 650km on mine since taking delivery 3 weeks ago. (I traded in my '18 S1000R, which had set a pretty high bar, I must say). I get the TPMS warnings too, I imagine they will sort that out in the first service which is of course imminent. Overall really happy with the bike although the suspension is disappointing - it's just brutal on Australian country roads - I guess I was spoilt with the S1000R's electronic DDC. And as for pillions - the Mrs demanded we turn around and go home about 15 mins into her first ride on the back of it (she is a seasoned pillion and had done entire days aboard the BMW whose seat was equally small. We have another bike for extended touring so it's not a huge deal but would be good if she were able to tolerate shorter rides on it (breakfast Sunday morning or whatever). The only other gripe is the exhaust which one probably can't blame Triumph for (emissions compliance etc) but I literally cannot hear the engine nor exhaust whatsoever over the wind noise at 80km/h. May as well be riding a silent electric bike. And idling through traffic lane-splitting it is clear people in cars can't hear the bike coming either. Aside from these things the bike is fantastic - I like the ride position, the character of the engine and gearbox is lovely and it really feels like a taller, more powerful street triple.
