I only knew eating chocolate and my Saturday night fillet steak isn’t good for my dog.

I expect you will be doing your best to make its opportunities even rarer.

I’m sorry Flower, but your response comes across as a little brusque,
I wasn't having a go, only pointing out that contact with Rapeseed is bad for pooches, some people might not know that.

Many years ago I lived in a town, and one day the cat came home with a large steak in its mouth. (I can't remember whether it was fillet or not.) I never found out where it came from - I didn't like to ask the neighbours about it...

Reminds me of a lab I used to have. He never hit the jackpot with a steak, but stole a neighbours dog dish on multiple occasions.

I didn’t know about it until you mentioned the issue, so thank you.

Can’t imagine @Bikerman meant harm or insult. We all know or don’t know stuff - a generalisation as I know that I don’t know a lot - that list of unknowns grows daily... All my dogs are (or were) trained as gun dogs and apart from a peculiar (and out of character) incident with my dinner once they also know to leave my food and the cat food alone 24/7. I doubt the steak incident will be repeated.

Thankfully for me rapeseed isn’t a big deal around here but I will watch out for it.

Not many Labs that can be left with food exposed and not take a nibble. Somehow we managed it.

Admittedly they walk past the bowls and pretend not to look at it. But they could snaffle it down but don’t. Even when we’re not there.

So I looked up Port Lincoln 'cause I'd never heard of it. The Port Lincoln webpage on Mr Google has this:

First on the list is eating seafood, then second on the list is being eaten by seafood. Blimey, just so far away from here (in more than one way) :)

Was up early and out with the camera this morning. This is from Ballintoy, with the sun rising behind Rathlin Island.
