Yes he absolutely will not sell it to me!, despite much pestering & exorbitant offers , I’ll just have to make my own, the tank seat units are £1300, donor bikes are cheap enough so I suppose it’s the only option, the older I get the less I feel like doing more builds though , one issue the bike does have is range, the small ally tank that sits under the fibreglass bodywork is only good for 60 miles!, maybe a hidden aux tank with an electric pump would be the answer.
Very nice !! In the same mood, do some of you already heard about the X90? This was created by Mecatwin workshop in the 90s.
Ha, I had considered a leather side pannier with a gallon container in it but there’s always that thought of a crash being followed by a huge fireball :-0
Nice one. My late friend Neil had an original Hurricane, I was lucky enough to ride it once. It was something else. That's a really good replica, my congratulations to the builder.
This one (1973 model) is at the May Silverstone classic bike auction with a guide price of £15,000 -£20,000.
Not a bad guess though as £29k less commission means you were pretty much spot on! Was that your maximum bid that you placed?????
I'm surprised with Vincent's and Boroughs fetching 60K and the Easy rider bike set to be sold in the millions.....
