Just changed the bars for some wider slightly lower rise and put my old faithful Halcyon mirrors on, I've had these for 10 years on various bikes, guzzis and laverdas, they're stainless and still look brand new.
First spin out after yanking off all the air injection gubbins, I'd already put the dunstalls on, changed the bars and mirrors. I bought the bike on Mileage, service history and condition. I wasn't struck with the colour scheme but it is growing on me. Since the above I've added hagon shocks, and that seat has to go next. What this bike really needs is an 18" rear wheel but that's for another day.
Got the Hagons on. Got the Hagons on, made an even bigger difference than on my Guzzi, modern bonneville standard suspension is actually worse than 40 year old knackered Italian shocks, piss poor really...
A quick Friday early evening mission to tick off an unridden road. And what a fantastic piece of tarmac it turned out to be. Watch out for the daft lambs though.
I managed to have some free time today which coincided with a rare sunny afternoon and got out on the Bonneville. I covered just over 100miles and called in at Bridge Motorcycles for a cup of coffee. Photo attached taken en route!
Brilliant ride to Saltfleetby just north of Mablethorpe, great weather, nice quiet roads glad I went early
