    I'll second that emotion.

Things are (most of the time) rather more comfortable around here, though TallPaul thought they were a bit too anodyne .... 'Sage Craver' would beg to differ.

My personal view is, realistically, of no moment or importance, but given Hobson's choice, I'd rather suck on a sugar cube than a Roshield cube any day and I'm pretty sure that most people on here would concur. Much as I love, admire and respect many of the people that left to go elsewhere - and I DO still miss Dilligaff hugely - the (then) ongoing toxicity was unbearable. If that makes me a "pussy", so be it - I have been, and no doubt will continue to be, called worse things and I can live with that.

I'd guess the forum is much like any other 'family'- you'll have good and bad times; agreements and disagreements, arguments and discussions - it's how you deal with them during and after that will define how the family develops.

Cracking write up of your trip around an area I try to ride at least once a year. We didn’t get to Scotland ( we’ll officially) in 2020. We did Northumberland instead and may, just may have strayed into Scotland. We’re just staring to organise our Scotland trip for this year.
I would love to be able to write and photograph our trip half as well as this one.
    One day maybe.
    Thanks again.

I'm way behind on seeing this thread, but outstanding posts like this one, with pictures and a wonderful narrative, are the real gold in forums. Thank you so much for the time and effort to share the trip with us.

My wife has a riding tolerance of about 10 minutes and that only once a year, so I envy that you could do it together. Fortunately, I'd be totally happy to follow this trail by myself.

    Many thumbs up!

Ah hah! I have a vague memory in the early nineties waking up in Ullapool after first footing. It was the home made we tried in Rogart what did it. I dimly remember a lift in the back of a rusty old Hilux with my cohort.

Nice write up, and pictures of the most beautiful country in the world.
