I was initially looking for a second bike for two up touring, but swmbo stated she'd rather ride herself. Lessons start tomorrow. She expressed an interest in a street triple, and I spotted a good deal on one. So off I went today to have a test ride. What a great flickable little machine! Quite different from my speed - it takes quite some revs to get it really lively, but I reckon that's a good thing for a novice. The bike's a 2007, and absolutely mint. So the deal was done...
First practical test (vehicle control) 31st May, theory (knowledge of traffic rules) 18th may... fingers crossed, she's studying hard!
That is terrific, Vulpes! You can tell your wife that another woman rider is exceedingly happy and excited for her. And I have to say that the two bikes together make a smashing pair--just like the two of you. That’s awesome Wim I bet she’s so excited. My first Triumph was a mk1 Street, and I have a paddock stand for it which I don’t use or need. You are welcome to have it if you don’t already have one.
