I got an email confirming the date. When I checked on my local ride (Chester) it informed it was a solo ride again this year. That might change but that is what it is looking like.
Before I'd want to get involved, I'd like a bit more information on where money raised goes and who is responsible for this distribution ( I'm not a trusting person ) Is this information available anywhere ?
This years DGR is on May 22nd! I couldn't enter last year, due to my bike being stuck at the Suez Canal, but I am joining this year. If people would like to make a donation for a good cause, that is much appreciated! https://gfolk.me/BenLuts431943
I have also signed up for this year, my 3rd time. I, however, am not asking for a donation. Just that you take a moment to think. Enjoy the ride bearded punk! ..... it's an amazing thing to be part of such a big convoy!
Have done it a few years now. No longer eligible as my sole bike is a Speed Triple. I get it but also frustrated by it.
Didn’t think it mattered what bike you ride. I have done it a couple of times and there have been loads of different bikes on the run.
It probably depends on who’s running the local event but official rules say no: https://www.gentlemansride.com/about/faq It’s to do with controlling how many riders they have apparently.
I will be taking part in DGR for the 5th time this year and am looking forward to the group ride after 2 solo rides during Covid. Is anyone else talking part in the Solent Ride starting in Southampton (UK)?
