Ok, so I bought the Thruxton RS after managing to swing a leg over one, liked it, bought it, and it arrived last week. Have only managed a short run out due to the weather up here at the moment but, weekend looking better! I am awaiting the additional body kit to be fitted as currently unavailable from Triumph and so I turned my mind to other things such as best place to mount my Go Pro. Looking at the bars is not an option on this bike, don't want it mounted on my helmet, only place I can see as viable is sticky mount on the front mudguard. Anyone know of any other alternatives? Suggestions welcome. Cheers G
Would it not stick onto the tank? Videos look much better if you can see the bars of the bike rather than just the road
Not sure how the front cowling will interfere with the view as it still has to be fitted but, worth investigation. I have it more for protection when on the road than the view tbh. Came in handy when a bus driver decided to brake hard (without any reason) a number of times when I was behind him, as I overtook he moved out to over the lines in middle of road. Took the footage to bus company and they disciplined him.
You can get brackets to raise the height of the Gopro, but if it's not for making vids for pleasure, but only for incase of accidents I guess the mudguard would be fine.or you can get brackets for attatching to the frame if that's possible on the Thruxton?
Have had a few mounting points on other bikes where the speedo was visible on playback. Never a good idea! Ha ha!
