Evening gents, picked my thruxton up yesterday after getting a new custom pipe made. Was tempted to order one from British customs but found a chap down in Oxford to make it for a much better price. It sounds how I think the thruxton should sound and pulls a lot smoother. if anyone is in the market for a new exhaust I would deffo give him a message, obviously knows his craft very well and an absolute gent to deal with. https://instagram.com/hitchcoxmotorcycles?igshid=1xinddqqsoiha
More from another angle. Going to get the triumph twin power kit to remove stock airbox and SAI as well.
Got my Thruxton RS today - still not yet ridden it. Very impressed with the fit, finish and attention to detail.
It wasn't the night before Christmas and nothing was stirring not even a mouse. But ......it is blowing a gale and snowing outside this evening. Well you are probably going to have to take my word for it, but there is a Thruxton under one of those covers.
Nicest day of the year, day off and this happens. The joint has sheared cleaned off. many recommendations for a replacement?
Mild and sunny here today, so I went out for food supplies on the VFR again as the Thruxton isn't taxed, although I will probably remedy that on 1st April if the lockdown restrictions continue to be eased.
First ride with the new woodcraft clip ons (with risers) and very happy, was out for about 4 hours which is possibly the longest I’ve spent out in the bike
A few bits done today… Fitted the booster plug that Andy sold me (thanks!) so looking forward to giving her a whirl with that installed! And swapped the old triumph knee pads (massive) for the R&G ones. I much prefer the look and OBVIOUSLY they’re slightly off straight intentionally!
How did you get the “off straight” effect, I always end up with decals etc going on straight, bloody annoying!.
