The F.I.M. rally in 1995 was at Malselv between Narvic and Tromso in Norway,I went from Newcastle to Bergen on the Trophy towing a small trailer that opened out into a tent. after the rally several of us decided that as we were so far north we might as well go to Nordcap to make a round tour. We camped at the most northerly campsite in Europe and around 10 in the evening rode on to Nordcap where the place had only just begun to get organised as a tourist destination. We waited for the sun to go as low as it could to take photos but the sun went behind low cloud and although we waited until about 2am the sun stayed behind cloud. I have been back to Scandinavia several times but not this far north again.
Not to mention the gila monsters and scorpions. A buddy of mine who lives in Tucson found one of these critters curled up in his garage.
Is the anatomy of the snowman in anyway accurate or analogous to those that made it? Cute dog btw Edit: You have damned funny looking chickens where you live!
I've seen plenty of gila monsters during my 30 years in Tucson but thankfully never in our garage! We've had scorpions in the house now and again, too. I hate those little buggers.
These photos are from a hike that Mr. Sandi and I did with our friend, GH, who has been hiking up a storm lately. I've not been on a true hike for decades! It was absolutely stunning and I think I'm hooked. We're likely going to try to do one hike each week. I even splurged on honest-to-goodness hiking boots. And I was glad of it. This hiking trail was much more rugged than I remembered it being. Perhaps that's because I've, erm, "aged" a bit?!
Had to venture North of Sheffield today, came back over The Strines; because of the harvesting of the pine forests, there are views that I’ve never seen newly available.
