Is there an urban myth that the Earl of Sandwich had his cooks make a delightful breaded snack for him and his card playing chums?

It is possible it’s true but I don’t wish to cheat and check.

Well you obviously have your beliefs and won't be reasoned with or told otherwise. Therefore it is pointless going forward. Anybody reading this is big and mature enough to make their own mind up. That's an end of it from me. Keep arguing if you want. Take care and no hard feelings.

I think that this is the normal story, but typically it's the earl wot gets the credit and nobody has heard of the cook.

A cheese and cook sandwich doesn't sound right. Would it be better with mustard or apple sauce?

    Well done.
Two people are needed to argue, yet stopping an argument actually only requires one.

If you have to disguise the cook taste, why not use ham instead?

Agreed. To change the subject, did anyone know that the German for 'expedition leader' is 'fahrtleiter'?

Apparently the cook was using it when she went missing, believed to be in a sandwich.
