    Hi, all

I want to change the battery on my 1050RS to a Shido Lithium one (like I have done on all my bikes).
I have no help, have to do it alone, is it doable?
On all my other bikes battery is under the seat, but here it is under the gas tank.
    Is it hard to do?

Easy to get at, unscrew the cover at the front of the tank. You can tilt the tank up at the front too if you need to, there should even be a bar to prop the tank up, its located on the bottom of the seat

I liked the time when bike manufacturers put battery under the seat.. :grinning:
Same on a Sprint ST1050, tank removal mandatory to remove the battery

You don't have to remove the tank, just lift it up. I take my batteries off my bike over winter, 5 minute job.

OK, have changed the battery. It is PITA compared to my GSXR1000R or any bike that has battery under the seat, but now it is done.
I have decreased the mass by 2800+ grams, which is about 1.3% of bike mass, not much but not little either.
Do I feel the difference on the road? No. But I know it is there. :)
