Hi. I'm Alan and I've just joined the forum. I live in the north of England. I have a query about the Bonneville Speedmaster. If this isn't the best place to ask could anyone point me in the right direction. I contacted my local dealer today to place an order for a Speedmaster in March on the new plate. later on he rang me back to say Triumph weren't making any more and the only ones available will be existing stock. This left me a bit shocked to be honest and not that I didn't believe what he was telling me I went online to find out more about this discontinuation. Now I can generally find my way around the internet pretty well but I can't find any clear info as to whether the Speedmaster is still going to be available or not. You can still go on the Triumph website and configure a Speedmaster and the button is still there to 'send to dealer' It all seems rather odd. Especially that a Triumph dealer didn't know they were being discontinued until he tried to order one. Could anyone shine any light on this please? Cheers Al
Hi Alan, welcome to the forum. Sounds odd but you never know, maybe try another dealer to see if you get the same answer. You could still get an 'in stock' bike and have them keep it until March and the new reg in any case. Friend of mine has done that exact thing with a Rocket 3 and got the bike at last years price into the bargain.
No it won't put me off. Ive been battling in my head for 6 months between the Speedmaster and the Bobber Black. I decided to go with the Speedmaster and can't wait to get one.
Hi Al and welcome to the forum news to all I think. I did notice World of Triumph dropped the Speedmaster from their bike selection, but parts are available.
