Furloughed for 3 possibly 6 weeks, and if its 3, then Im back for 3 off for 3, then, its all over and we get back to normal, so thats nice, please and thank you.
It’s genuinely scary to think about where we may have been, had we signed up to the EU vaccination plan or even worse had we been still in the EU. I don’t believe anyone has been particularly impressed with the government’s handling, however in comparison with the EU,the vaccination program has been a success.
I was really impressed by the way @Sandi T. got her and her husband's jabs. No nonsense simple and inventive. Our local vaccination centre seems to be, fighting Covid, 5 days a week, 9 to 5, so that's nice. AAAHhhhhhhhh!
The NHS has told vaccination centres inYorkshire to slow down as they’ve been more efficient than elsewhere and they don’t want to turn the issue into accusations of a postcode comparison/lottery. You couldn’t make this up!
Strangely i have been humming in my head for a week or so now the old Millwall song "No one likes us, we don't care". Meanwhile Mrs Marky (nurse) had her jab at Southmead hosp last week. Waltzed in, 20 mins later waltzed out no dramas no issues. As she knew the jabber she even asked if they had any leftovers for the "ole man" outside, sadly it was a no.
I have always had mixed feelings about the EU: it has its good points and its bad points, and I can never understand how the Brexit issue has become so emotionally polarised on both sides. It is rapidly becoming obvious that Johnson has saddled us with a 'deal' giving us the worst of both worlds. But on the vaccine issue, Tom, the EU has not covered itself with glory, and I can't disagree with you.
Mayhem at the borders, empty shelves in Northern Ireland, people unable to order goods from EU sellers without massive customs costs, hugely increased red tape and paperwork for UK exporters, decimation of Scottish fishing businesses. He 'got Brexit done' alright, but he made a right arse of it.
These issues have all been widely reported. I'm not going to get involved in a Brexit debate on a Corona Virus thread. You made a fair point about the EU's vaccine performance and I agreed with you.
Hang on a minute,am I missing something? It was you making the Brexit point ,then telling me off. How hypocritical and yet self righteous, wtf ?
Didn't you call us wankers and telling us that you were leaving? If so, hypocritical to still be here???
Er, no.... You introduced the issue by making a post about how much better off we are for vaccination out of the EU. I replied that I had mixed feelings about the EU, but that I couldn't disagree with you on the vaccination issue. Really, some people can start a fight in an empty room...
