Looks like we all got spammed with it today. ;)

Will definitely be interested to see what the power output is.

I would love the New Speed Triple to be a class defining bike but I have a feeling it will be in a class of 1 left in No Mans Land. In my view naked bikes fall into three categories - soft (MT07, GSXR-S etc), medium (STR-RS, CBR1000 etc) and hard (1290SDR, Tuono etc). The 1050 Speed sits at the top of the medium tree, albeit slightly detached towards the hard end but the new one will leave it firmly in between the two groups, not hard enough for the hard group but not soft enough for the medium group. The one thing the 1050 Speed was, was a great road bike you could track, I hope it doesn't become an also ran track bike that's not as good on the road.

I've contacted my dealership about putting a deposit down, but I'd very much want to ride one before committing

Saw that asphalt&rubber article and I got really excited about the numbers, weight, etc. but I had to reel it in. I just paid off my 19' RS and while yes it'll only depreciate more and more, I am in no rush to pick up another bike payment.

With that said, when they finally hit show room floors I may and or may not show up on my freshly cleaned bike with OEM cans reinstalled, spare keys, owners manual and spanners in my backpack...just in case. :no_mouth:

I completely understand, @OhCrumOn. I think I need to just stay out of the dealership when that 2021 Speed Triple arrives! ;):joy:

Yep, Silver & Black. And it looks unfinished without the flyscreen/instrument fairing.

Not that impressed by the looks.
It's lost the distinctive twin pipes...
The main frame and subframe look like they're from two different bikes.
Maybe they spent all the development money on the engine....:D

The silver (in the pic) is matt, but I think the black is a gloss (I am hoping)

I like the look in some cases, other colours I hate in matt, like silver. But its the impractical bit that really annoys me. Made a mess of my speed triples tank with a tank bag, my scrambler had awful scratches in it which of course can't be polished out. Even the factory safety and running in stickers leave a permanent mark on the matt finish when you peel them off  glossy is so much nicer every time! Unfortunately matt looks like a bit of a fad thats not going away anytime soon and Triumph seems to love using it
