That’s the best thing you can do with STs as they are all ready to be modded at cheap prices. I’ve had a few dukes and the st4 being one. The only reason I didn’t modify it was because we get penalised here with insurance. Yet again you’ve built a stonker and it’s my style. I like it!
Well it was a ST4 but when the previous owner blown the engine he swapped it for a 900ss unit! I actually bought a ST4S in Milan but that was en February last year and with the COVID the bike still in a friends garage in Novara.....
I met a Canadian guy and his wife while touring Spain, he was riding one.. for the life of me I can't remember the miles and time spent touring but it was very impressive!
The funny thing with the ST is that they are wolf in sheep's clothing, they are just great at twisty roads, I use to hunt a lot of modern RR bikes at the local mountain roads with a old V2....
It's hard to beat a V-twins grunt for real road riding! The power is right where you need it to catapult you out of corners. I love them
