Blasphemy I know but 2nd rear wheel puncture in a very short period both requiring recovery from the back end of beyond! At one point thought I had to leave the bike out overnight in the lakes. New bike or new wheels as now so paranoid about going any distance. Thoughts / solutions please?

I've got a set of Kineos on order for my T120, others have used tape and sealant to make their rims tubeless, not sure I would have trusted that myself, especially touring, hence the Kineos, expensive and not to everyone's taste but one of the few ways of going properly tubeless.

Not considered swapping my Thruxton wheels, but understand the rationale for wanting the additional confidence boost of tubeless tyres

You have had a bit of bad luck there. Touch wood i have been a lot luckier with my bikes. But my only thought is even tubeless tyres get punctures.
    Regards
    Joe.

Yep so do I when I’m on the tiger. No point when on the Thruxton though.

Have you considered a Speed twin?

Happened to me on the test ride. Sent my wheels to Doug Richardson in Devon , he replaced the rim, spokes and nipples with stainless steel and converted them to run tubeless. no worries about tube failure or corrosion.
