The outside Lane is a good one to rides motorbikes in. Just keep a good lookout for anyone approaching faster than you and all’s well. If anyone does cause you to move over they are probably going quite fast (They’d have to be to get past me) and won’t suddenly pull in again once past, and, best part, other vehicles can’t pass you (And pull in suddenly) like they can if your riding in any other than outside lane. Ken.
Generally, I'd agree, but I do follow the 'keep left' rule if the level of traffic allows. Personally, I reckon if you're 'keeping left' and obeying the other rules of the road, coppers are more likely to ignore sane speeding, but if you're sat on clear roads in the outside lane doing it, you're more ikely to get noticed and get a pull. DS
Doc Strange, Absolutely no need to do it on clear roads ((Don’t see many of those) but in general traffic it’s nice to think nobody can come along side and turn in on you. Ken.
Unfortunately mostly folk have to smack into something before gaining any understanding of speed and/or tailgating ... there are however still folks who remain idiots no matter what happens and these are the worst when you see them filling your bike’s rear mirrors
