Rotterdam to Hull ferry now booked. I'll be bringing Big Bertha along come rain or shine as I've had to put in the registration number on the booking form. So sorry guys you won't get to see my Burgervan this time around (I know you'll all be so disappointed ) If this meeting is a success (which I'm sure it will be) then we could do something similar next year.
ooh yes please . Over here we can get nice fish and nice chips but not together. We used to have an english fish and chip shop in Amsterdam called 'Al's Plaice' which were really good, but I think he's gone now. A popular snack here is Kibbeling which are pieces of cod or haddock cooked in a lovely batter which is then dipped into Remoulade or Garlic sauce. It's super scrummy, but having chips too is not an option. Strange huh ??
Good news - looking forward to seeing the Trophy. Like the idea of planning next year's meet up already!
Were you at Leiden University Dave ? Hows your Dutch?? When I'm over in the UK I always have to fit in Fish and chips at some point. yummy yummy
It was all to do with Archeology. My Dutch is non-existent sadly. But the Kibbeling with Garlic mayonnaise - just beautiful.
Fantastic Dave. Glad you liked it. For those Brits who don't know what we're talking about see below. One portion of Kibbeling
Without going through 36 pages where and when is this extravaganza taking place looking at a pop in session on day
Hi MF, this EXTRAVANGANZA (love this name!!) is taking place in the Peak District and most are staying here : http://www.peakpub.co.uk/camping/. Dates are tues 9th to friday 12th August 2016
Ooo dear that's all of 57minutes away lock up your daughter's Buxton and make sure you have some beer in
Will you be and Tigcraft be the only local boys then? Spotted this in MCN this week. Great rides: "Holmfirth to Buxton" (just in case Tigcraft can't find it!).
It's 39 miles from home to Hurdlow for this day tripper according to mr Michelin route planner, never clocked the mileage before. I don't mind leading an elite group for a rideout, anyone fit that description. I usually ride around the area a couple of times a year with my carer but I will be on my own as the soft bugger works for a living during the week
