Hindsight is a great thing and I wouldn’t begin to blame the troops anyway. Any policy errors lie with politicians and their advisors. The groupthink is bizarre but safety in numbers explains how Welsh Labour, the SNP, Ulster Allsorts and Beano Boris have diverged little. But then they have all had a hand in cutting hospital bed numbers - it would seem Wales worst of all. I do blame Westminster for sticking with such a narrow bunch of Imperial College based advisors whose own credentials are highly suspect; there are precious few clinicians and a shedload of self styled epidemiologists aka mathematicians.
Stalinist brainwashing springs to mind with some of the language being used. I don’t pretend to be knowledgeable regarding Covid, however when it comes to human nature, and especially language,I can spot bullshit from quite a distance, and right now we’re in an avalanche of it!
Right, try again. Germany has something like three times the hospital beds per capita as the UK, but is concerned over pressure on those beds due to an illness that some seem to believe is not much more than an inability to correctly read graphs. As far as l know, they are not advised or guided by lmperial College. So why the concern? Why is France imposing curfews? Are they all overeacting, or lying to cover their arses? Obviously very many other countries are reacting similarly.
The average age of people dying of ,or from Covid is above the national average. The horrible fact is that this virus is killing the old ,the weak and the infirm,in very few cases is it killing able bodied people. This isn’t the Black Death or cholera or the Spanish flu that wiped out millions, this is more similar to a nasty flu bug which authorities would have us believe is lethal and for the vast majority,it simply isn’t.

If you could read graphs you would see the holes in the official narrative. Many can see WHAT is happening but WHY remains the puzzle. Real enough virus but as to the rest?
I am out working at the moment and believe me people are keeping to the rules, no one about at all, the streets, shops, and buses are empty. The variant mutates every year, We have had Covid as the main type of flu now for over 15 years and every year a new variant and every year a new flu jab. This blew up like a bomb, and our leaders are still behaving as they did in the beginning they are nervous and convinced, a very sticky combination. I dont claim I could do a more effective job, only we have to keep the debate going, thats where new trains of thought come from, its not like Im wasting a leaders time my having his ear. I am sure everyone here is following the rules.Whether they believe them or no.
Demonstrably true much as the worst affected countries are those who have not seen bad flu in recent years. It takes the same vulnerable cohort.
There seems to be very little discussion of the figures and facts, E.G. by Current Affairs programs, or opposition parties. A more in depth appraisal of the situation. Nightly updates of the latest thinking and figures. We could have a BBC2 show at 6 keeping us updated, just Covid. Why is that?
Quite simple, the NHS lack the resources to vaccinate,so why not diy?Give us the drug and I’m sure with a little info,we’re all capable of doing it ourselves, that what the fuck I’m on about.
There’s an interesting table on the attached link which gives the Total COVID deaths per capita for all Countries https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/ Worst death rate in the World is Belgium, USA is one place better than the UK, and Brazil where the President famously dismissed the danger of COVID and put the economy first is 6 places better than us!! I suspect an awful lot of arse covering going on now and in the future to validate the lock downs and damage to the economy over the last 10 months Out of interest how does the lockdown economic cost compare to the cuts in the NHS over the last 10 years
Clearly us Somerset boys are on the ball here Tom. Mrs Marky being a band 6 nurse is quite capable of giving injections and gives them on a daily basis. If she was given a 100 syringes and a 100 doses she could jab all our family and a few mates.
That, essentially, is my question. Why is there such a level of fear worldwide for an illness that, as bad as it is, mathematically looks some way short of being a true pandemic? What's in play? Is everyone wrong? Do our "rulers" know something that we don't? And next, what should our reaction be? If we assume it's a smokescreen and the truth is nothing like as bad as we're being told, should we continue to behave as instructed or is civil disobedience something to consider? I'm hearing lots of criticism and not much in the way of alternatives.
You made me laugh mate, clearly, being in a low Covid area we could sort it all out tomorrow,if we had the drugs?
