Oh, the streets of Rome are filled with rubble Ancient footprints are everywhere. You could almost think that you're seeing double On the cold, dark night on the Spanish Stairs.
The phones are wonderful things, I think the advent of digital cameras brought us into the age of throw away photography. When I used film if I went out I’d come back with maybe one roll shot 24 shots now I’ll come back with a hundred, I’m not knocking it but it made you more selective on your composure, on the plus side with digital is you miss less and can generally turn any photo into something interesting. These were off the phone
But then using a digital camera gives you the flexibility of shutter speeds and depth of field so a bit more thought can go into it This was 6 seconds at f22 to get the depth of field This one obviously needed a fast shutter speed so the iso had to be jacked up This was that close I could have used the phone but wanted less depth of field And this was taken from around 100 yds away with 200mm lens but the fact it was a full frame camera meant I had enough file size to be able to crop it in to a usable photo
It's my lad's ship, spent an enjoyable couple of hours pocking around (not all of it because some bits are "secret")
