Good point Ade. First question that comes to mind is are we talking about main meal at lunchtime or in the evening? Tuesday being the first night really should be a very special get-together, with reliable good food and drink. Thursday will be wind-up night so we really should be together bullshitting the world about what hero riders we are, etc etc So if any meals are to be booked do we agree to accept their bulk package meal, or do we all want to order individually?
They have 2 or 3 choices of menus on their website for pre booked meals that have a few choices on them, pre-booking seems like a must as was mentioned. I spoke to the people at the pub a while back and they said that for group meal bookings everyone has to choose off the same menu. So we all have to agree which menu, then you can choose your courses, I don't know if you have to prepay for it though.
Happy to go with the set menu option and I don't mind which one as it all looks good to me (I'm not a fussy eater - the only thing I can't stand is celery). I think Tuesday would be a good night for the meal for the reasons stated above - it's a good opportunity to get to know one another and it will be crispeys only night with us! I can recommend The Coach House in Buxton for fish and chips - well it was good 18 months ago.
Can I suggest that a seperate post is set up for the meal on Tuesday, selection using the poll facility, it will keep things tidier and simpler!! I'll do it if no one else wants the job.
well if no-one else will, I'll do the Tuesday meal as I'm only there for that one. But please don't feel as though anyone is going to offend me by volunteering.
