Hi all. I'm in the process of buying a triumph and I'm between 2 models. One is the street twin and the other is the newcomer, the Trident. I know they're different in nature but I'll know when I actually see the Trident up-close and see how it feels. Do you have any key-points on the street twin or any comments that might help.

I'm a new comer as a rider aged 44. I want something that will do for commuting as well as weekend rides near the city.

Hi and welcome to the forum. On your choice of bike you will get a lot of feedback on the street twin as there are loads of owners on the forum. The new trident is a different one. As there is really only the published triumph advertising material out there you will only get an opinion from the members. imo I would go for the street twin as they are available now and it will meet your commuting requirement and weekend riding really well. If you are still not sure, then wait and test ride both bikes before making your final choice. Good luck :)

Athens. And yes if you're near Athens and the Peloponnese peninsula it's great to ride almost the entire year. We have something like 10-20 days of cold throughout the year. And by cold I mean 3-4 celsius and thats close to the mountains.

Welcome aboard Nassos. I ride a Street Twin. It makes an excellent first bike and should meet your needs. Do try to get a test ride on both though.

Welcome Nassos. My wife's father's name was 'Joras'. We know very little of him since he passed-on when wife was quite young. Enjoy the fine folks here !
