I have a 2003 America and have wanted to swap my floorboards for footpegs. I've priced it out in new parts and it ends up costing like $400 with shipping. Maybe we could do a trade?

You're a genius! I've been searching everywhere and did not come up with this. $101 w/ shipping. I bought it. So - in the interests of fairness, if you give me $50 you can have my floorboards and hardware. Don't do anything yet - I want to get the pegs in and be certain they fit. Sound okay?

Fitment should be ok. Very hopeful. 2002-2008 all took the same. Ebay sent me a shipped notice today. Due on the 17th.

Thanks for 'jogging my elbow' on this - hoping we both end up happy.

    Yo, Balchie !
FWIW: When I rode my son's V-Star 1300 (w/footboards), I found that my work boots w/'flat' bottom soles were very comfortable. On my Triumph, I ride w/boots that have a much 'higher heel' that helps me grip the pegs (like stirrups when riding horses). Also works well with the higher position of the standard shifter as opposed to the relatively 'flat' heel/toe shifter that is part of the footboard hardware. 103_1161.JPG

Footrests just arrived today - in good shape. My bike is in my heated shop, so tomorrow I'll pull it out and swap out the floorboards. Just FYI, the shifter on my floorboards is not heel-toe - I mention this because you referred to it above.

I always rode my Harley w/ boots with heels. I upgraded to a Triumph last year.

I'll take pics of the floorboards/mounts so you can decide if you want them - no pressure. I was looking for footpegs anyway so if the floorboards are not what you're looking for I'll either just hang onto them or sell them on ebay.

I did the conversion today - the fitment was perfect. A little time consuming but no stripped bolts or mess ups - always nice. Did not have to remove pipes to install.

Here are pics of the floorboards and associated hardware. I was very careful to save everything and put washers and nuts on bolts, etc. As you can see in the pics, there is some surface rust on a couple of the parts - steel wool and chrome polish should clean them up pretty well. I think they will all fit in a large flat rate priority mail box - about $25 to ship. If you want these parts, the $50 is still fine with me, and includes the shipping.

Let me know and we can paypal or something.
