DGR 2021 MOVED TO MAY 23rd In recognition of the fact that it generally pisses it down in late September in the Northern Hemisphere the powers that be have moved the DGR to May. Sunday 23rd for 2021. I will be organising the ride for Milton Keynes again. Current thoughts to ride from MK Stadium to Bedford.
This sounds interesting, and not too far away (geographically). What is it? Who's invited? Whats the story?
I’ll be doing the London ride again. After last year when it monsooned the whole time the change of date is very welcome!
DGR is an annual charity event that started in Australia in 2012 and now takes place worldwide in many towns and cities. There is a ride in Oxford, but you can join any ride you like. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distinguished_Gentleman's_Ride However you should really be on an appropriate style machine "In keeping with the classic lines of vintage-inspired motorcycles, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a niche charity event that focuses on classically designed motorcycles, and dapper gentlefolk riding their bikes through the heart of their cities. These bikes strictly include Café Racer's, Bobber's, Classic's, Tracker's, Scrambler's, Old School Chopper's, Modern Classic's, Sidecar's, Classic Scooter's, and Brat Styled motorcycles to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs." Register here https://www.gentlemansride.com/ If your bike doesn't fit the classic style you can still register and get involved in the MK ride at least as a support rider and route marshal.
I think it is still set for the 2020 ride. It happens every year that you can't register for the upcoming ride until a couple of months ahead of time. Always very frustrating. Did you try the pre-register option? As far as I am aware HQ will then email when registration officially opens for 2021.
I participated in the 2020 ride and received an email inviting me to pre-register for the ‘21 event. I have done so, and would imagine you should be able to as well by now.
The link works fine and you do not need to log in to see the information. Also, it could be your browser, what are you using? By the way the link is to the 2021 ride, the site has been updated.
It worked straight away on the laptop but required the subscribe to news letter and future events box to be checked a bit rude where's my choice to abstain typical of today society op in or fuck off where's my choice my opinion
