This arrived yesterday afternoon via United Parcel Service from a small motorcycle company that builds custom (your guess here). Hmmm....
Well, I didn't want to string it out for too long--or perhaps I didn't give you guys enough credit! I did figure that last photo would be a dead give-away. Next time watch out!! I will be absolutely cryptic. What I I really wanted to do is share this photo. This is the "Slipstream" seat made by Whiplash Speed Company in Chino Hills, California. Black Onyx with a Bomber Brown accent band and Chestnut double diamond stitching.
Yep Sandy that's a good looking saddle for sure, I'm sure a picture with it fitted will be along shortly
Yes it will, Tez! Going to the dealership tomorrow to get the $5 part that goes into the fender for the seat screw to fit into. Clearly I don’t know the technical name of the part.
You nearly got a face palm for revealing what it was in the first post! Plus we really don’t need another Dilli type annoying tw@t post of guess what’s in the box, I have enough trouble ignoring one such thread!
Sandi T It is a good looking seat for a good looking Harley and you go out there a treat yourself. You earned it this year. Joe
Hey @Sandi T. your thread got me hankering after a special seat as well, so after some extensive research where practically all expense was spared .... I present my custom seat!
Sandi, you have a lot to learn from the master. Dilligaf wouldn't even have shown us a photo of the box!
I got my new Whiplash Speed Co. seat on my bike today. I'm very pleased with how it looks and got in a 20-miler with it. So far so good! It's a bit wider than the stock seat which I'll get used to. The rise at the back of the seat is great. I like the feel of the seat and it fits the bike--and my butt--like a glove. Overall I'm really happy with it. And I'm even happier because Mr. Sandi said that he'd like to buy it for me for my birthday which is in about a month. He knows he can always get me motorcycle "stuff" as gifts and I'll be a happy camper.
